Opening with Aimed Shot?2010-03-16 00:00:00Most likely, that statement was made in regards to level 60 (now 70) characters.
At level 33, your gear is probably 80 or more greens. You're also at the low end of the level (x0-x5 being low, x6-x9 being high, if you know what I mean). This makes it easier for your pet to hold aggro as his growl is relatively more powerful. When you get closer to the end of a level set (for you, 38, 39) you'll notice you pull aggro more often, aimed shot or not. This changes and resets when you hit 40 because you learn a new growl again.
As long as you are not currently pulling aggro, there is no reason not to open with an aimed shot.
Hell, even at 60 I would solo really hard mobs using the tactic to open with Aimed, cuncussive, multi, arcane, and then feign death right away when my pet was on it, just to open with a huge burst of damage.
That techni...
Inviting Comment2010-03-06 00:00:00Let me start by thanking the frequent posters here. I read this forum for tips and my play has significantly improved - particularly with regards to CC. Having dinged 70 a month ago, the pre-raid post is something I refer to often.
I was using a 38/20/3 build for the longest time, but after reading the various posts here and researching the top hunters and their spec...
Can a hunter hate his own class?2010-03-02 00:00:00Well
i have now leveled a shadow priest and a druid to 70. and after having seen countless well geared idiots roll through my parties i can say..
I now think that hunters really are class with ...

lvl 80 gear it is possible,2009-05-14 00:00:00theurrent badges will not buy any lvl 80 gear. it is possible, although I haven't heard rently about it, that there might be some more lvl 70 badge gear released at the pah. if not i'd use what you have now to help your leveling go faster. or if you want youan buy gems with them sie jewelrafters may want them to level their prof after the pah.
Divine Storm damageounts as physal damage? The toolt still says Holy damage. If this is the mitigated damage, I would've liked to see it before ...
andhoose what to fight, how and where to2009-05-13 00:00:00as a rogue with stealth youan pk andhoose what to fight, how and where to fight it. Use the paths to your advantage.
Don't use S1 gear in PvE. Gem like I do.
What kind of PvE do you want to do with it? In general, what Theo said is right. The PvP reward gear is inferior for PvE bause it puts too mh fus on stamina and resiliee whh are very low on a rogue's priority list for PvE gear (the latter beingompletely useless). However, if we are just talking about maybe some he...

the only 2 water totems2009-05-06 00:00:00As for restorative totems, the only 2 water totems that you'll probably use are poisonleansing and healing spring. Honestly, I'd put points in it for healing spring. Restoan make it VERY strong. Itan be the differee between win and lose. I only use poisonleansing when I see a rogue. Fire resist totem might be ok vs a mage that HAPPENS to be fire sp, but thehaes of that are slim... 95% are frost sp in arenas. In 5v5 I'd thinkhain heal might be worth it, but generall in 2v2 and 3v3, only one person is getting hit at a time, makinghain heal useless. A waste of time and mana. Moreover, your team probably won't be buhed up enough for it to hit all 3 of you anyways between fears e. I've yet to...
far The reason I am asking2009-05-06 00:00:00Thanks for the help so far. The reason I am asking these things, is for my 5v5 Arena Team. I do not plan on doing 2v2, or 3v3. So anything you say will be based off of that. And yeah, the reason i asked about ghost wolf was bause i like to use it inombat, not just before. When I was enhaement sp leveling, I would use itonstantly to gain group on my opponents. I was just wondering how it fairs in Arena. Thanks for the help so far, but I would still like some ideas from more people.
k your talents are dent and here is what I rolled with I had a 1740 arena team doing 2's with a warrior with a lionheart exutioner end of last season BTW THE BEST PARTNER FOR A RESTO SHAMMY IS A WARRIOR the ft that youan give them WF totem rapes sh*t realllly hard this is my build that I use with awarrior mind you and I've never done 2's as resto with any o...
